Discover essential techniques to guide a young tree or revive a neglected one, promoting longevity and boosting fruit production.
While Che is renowned for his expertise in bonsai, his horticultural skills also extend to larger trees. Pruning, shaping, and comprehending tree responses are Che's specialties. This workshop isn't limited to theory; it offers a practical, hands-on approach to Winter Pruning of fruit trees, aimed at enhancing your next season's harvest.
Under Che's expert supervision, you'll handle loppers and secateurs, building your confidence with each cut.
The principles taught can be applied to various fruit trees, making this workshop invaluable for any fruit tree enthusiast.
You will learn about the importance of pruning, tool maintenance and how to prune correctly and efficiently.
This 2.5-hour workshop will be held in the Riverside home orchard. Dress appropriately for weather, with sturdy footwear or gumboots. Bring along your secateurs, loppers, and pruning saw if available. Please note that this Winter Pruning workshop is weather-dependent and may be cancelled or postponed if it rains.
