Back by popular demand! Barbara Knewitz from Dreamspace Theatre previously hosted this mini-series of classes in October, which was a hit with the kids—lots of smiles all around. If you missed out or your kids are eager for more, here are three additional sessions!
Jeux Dramatique is an improvisational theatre style that focuses on creativity rather than performance. The only props are cloths of various shapes, colors, and sizes, allowing children to create their own spaces. Small stories are read aloud, and children can choose their roles, whether they want to be a stone, the sun, a person, or an animal—there are no limits to their imagination. Through stories, kids explore social roles, and broaden their horizons. The Theatre Workshops for Kids also include short relaxation exercises and fun games.
With a background in acting and theatre pedagogy from Berlin, Barbara has worked on several projects with diverse groups, and has also toured with a children's circus across Germany. Her passion lies in the creative process, emphasising group dynamics, nurturing creativity, social learning, and most importantly, having fun. Barbara is excited to share her love for theatre and circus with your children.
Please note that the three sessions build on each other, and we are asking for a commitment to all three dates.
Please dress your children in neutral clothes, ideally plain colours.
