Wedndesday, 3rd April, 6pm to 9pm
$65 per person
Booking essential: MixedRoots.co.nz
At Riverside Centre
A hands-on, fun cooking session followed by a sit-down dinner, with Kalpana, The Original Spice Girl from Mixed Roots.
Indian Cook-A-Long Dinner // Family Friendly // All dietary requirements catered for
Menu: Saagwaala Curry, Cumin Raita, Paranthas (served with steamed Basmati rice & finished with a surpise Indian dessert)
Start off with a fun game, talk through the whole-spices and ingredients being used and familiarise yourself with the basics of making a hearty, homestyle curry sauce base. Get your hands dirty as we knead the dough and roll out the bread together.
Cook along with Kalpana as she shares her recipe for our family favourite – a spicy, creamy, spinachy Saagwaala curry. The cumin raita was made legendary by Kalpana’s grandmother and the paranthas are a fluffy, flaky wholemeal bread – just like Mum’s!
All Ingredients & recipe booklets provided.
Protein choice of chicken, paneer or tofu. Pls advise if you have a preference or we will work on a chicken default. Pls advise any dietary requirements when booking. DF / GF* / Vegan / Veg Options available.
*Pls note: While we can accommodate GF guests, pls be aware that we will only be cooking wheat rotis, and GF rotis will be provided to eat with the meal.
We look forward to cooking and eating along with you!
