With Flo Pauls and Special Guests

At Riverside Centre (Rangimarie Hall)
Flo has been a regular contributor to Nelson’s and Mapua’s pub music scene, playing among others at The Workshop, Founders Park and Cafe, The Golden Bear, The Playhouse, and open mic sessions throughout the region.
Starting out as a solo act he always felt that only one guitar and a voice wouldn't do it for him. So, after watching a concert from Ed Sheeran he got himself a loop station and over time perfected the art of looping and uses it ever since for performing covers and original music.
For 3 three years he shared the name “What About Eve” with Motueka musician Lynda Hannah, as part of a Folk Music duo. Together they had numerous performances in the regional folk music scene.
He returned to going solo again to concentrate on his own songwriting and spent many a night in his caravan, out the back, honing away on his looping skills and sequences to make the most of creating beats, backing vocal tracks, bass tracks and guitar phrases.
His music style takes inspiration from Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran and Radiohead.
His songwriting has received praise and recognition from the NZ Songwriters Trust Contest.
Flo has lived and worked at Riverside Community for over ten years. His family of 5 children keep him well occupied and is the inspiration for quite a few of his songs.
While Flo has played support for several events in the region this special evening gives this local singer/songwriter the opportunity to play his original live music.
Flo beautifully crafts his songs using a loop pedal and guitar creating unique, whole song experiences. Music that will invoke moments of reflection and inspiration as well as opportunities to dance.
"Mesmerizing to watch!"
Tickets are $15 per person (13+) door sales/cash only (includes tea, coffee, and yummy treats). Flo Pauls will be joined by special guests. BYO drinks.
