Join Tobias and Nele on an eight-week exploration of your body's capabilities and limits.
Come play and have fun whilst learning lots of exciting new things!
These Acro-Yoga & Partner Acrobatics classes are designed to build a core foundation for any acrobatic goals you might have!
You will be guided to increase your mobility, strength and flexibility. Balances and moves taught in this course are broken down into meaningful and achievable parts to enable you then to build them into more complex flows, stacks and pyramids. This will develop greater trust, body awareness and confidence in yourself and with others.
The aim is to create a safe, playful and respectful environment in which to get the most from the learning. The course will incorporate thorough warm-ups, cool-downs and elements of therapeutic practices to provide a wide array of tools to support and look after your body in daily life.
Nele Siezen and Tobias Castelli have taught and performed circus for many years whilst growing a family of three inspired children. They have travelled extensively in New Zealand and Europe visiting many acrobatic conventions and festivals, developing their skills. Together, they have completed an Acro Mastermind Teacher Training course in New Zealand and an Acroyoga and Therapeutics course in Poland. They are also passionate about bodywork and have trained in different disciplines ranging from Trigger Point Therapy and Flying Therapeutics to Thai Massage and Zen Thai Shiatsu.
Nele started her acrobatic journey together with her twin sister Jola. In 2006, they completed a circus diploma course at Circo Arts in Christchurch, specialising in Duo Silks and Partner Acrobatics. They have been performing and teaching ever since as the Twisty Twinz.
Tobias has lived a physical and active lifestyle and learnt acrobatics when meeting Nele.
Since then, he has focused on foundational training to enable a sustainable and long-lasting practice.
