Due to popular demand, we are offering a pretzel-making workshop for children ages 8 and up. 

Who doesn't like pretzels? While most of us will have eaten more than one in our lifetime – not many can say they have actually a pretzel...now your child could be one of those few!made

The pretzel's actual origins are as tangled as its shape. Legend traces it to medieval Europe, where Italian monks reportedly created treats to reward schoolchildren by baking dough with arms shaped in prayer. The tradition spread through Europe, and pretzels became associated with good luck and eternal love.

Soft pretzels are yeast bread that is formed into a pretzel shape. The one big difference in pretzel making, as opposed to regular bread making, is that pretzels are and then baked. The boiling gives the outside of the pretzel its beautiful golden brown colour and uniquely crisp and chewy texture…
