Clay Play for Kids

Making something out of clay with your own two hands is an amazing experience. One moment, there's a sticky lump – then you squeeze or roll or pinch – and next thing you know, you have a beautiful work of art – or a functional object like a bowl, cup or plate.

Children especially love the physical-sensual-mental experience of squeezing, pinching and shaping a piece of wet clay into something funny, interesting or aesthetically pleasing. It is such a gentle, eco-friendly process that is grounding, calming as well as stimulating, and inspiring. Tanja will help kids in this beginner-level workshop to gain a feel for the clay and create whatever they want.

This workshop is creative, 100% hands-on, and potentially a bit messy – please dress your children accordingly :) Clay stains may not wash out of some fabrics.
